Description
Lost your P60, or never received one? The Mailer P60 is a sealed replacement End of Year Certificate. It folds and seals into its own mailer, with your name and address showing through a window on the front; no separate envelope is needed.
The tax information is identical to the Standard Red P60. The difference is the sealed, confidential format and the fact that your address appears on the document. Available for any tax year from 2019–20 to 2025–26, including years with a previous employer.
What your Mailer P60 shows
- Your name and address
- Your National Insurance number
- Employer name and address
- Total pay for the tax year
- Total deductions
- Total National Insurance contributions
- Income tax deducted
- Your final tax code for the year
- Pay and tax from any previous employment in the same tax year
Mailer or Standard Red — which P60?
Standard Red — £35
Open sheet. Shows your name and National Insurance number.
Mailer P60 — £38
Sealed mailer. Shows your name and address through a window on the front, so the pay details stay enclosed until it is opened.
The tax figures are the same on both. Choose the Mailer where the document needs to arrive sealed, or where your address needs to appear on it.
When you should have received your P60
The UK tax year runs from 6 April to 5 April. Your employer must give you your P60 by 31 May following the end of the tax year. You only receive a P60 if you were still employed on 5 April. If you left before that date, you receive a P45 instead.
Which tax years we cover
- 2019–20
- 2020–21
- 2021–22
- 2022–23
- 2023–24
- 2024–25
- 2025–26
Each tax year needs its own certificate. If you need several years for a mortgage application or a full earnings record, order one per year. The 2026–27 tax year is still running. P60s for it will not be issued until after 5 April 2027.
Before you order
HMRC does not issue P60 your employer does. But HMRC holds the same pay and tax figures, and you can view or print them free from your personal tax account at gov.uk/personal-tax-account or the HMRC app. Your employer or former employer can also issue a duplicate if they still hold the records.
Employers must keep PAYE records for at least three years from the end of the tax year. If neither route works, we can produce a replacement.

Freqently Ask Questions
What is the difference between the Mailer P60 and the Standard Red?
The tax information is identical. The Mailer is a sealed format with your address showing through a window, so no envelope is needed. The Standard Red is an open sheet and does not show your address.
Can I get a copy of my P60 from HMRC?
No. HMRC does not issue P60s; your employer does. HMRC can show you the same pay and tax figures through your personal tax account or the HMRC app, which you can print or save as a PDF.
Can I order more than one tax year?
Yes. Each tax year has its own certificate, so order one per year.
Can I get a P60 for 2026–27?
Not yet. That tax year ends on 5 April 2027, and P60s are issued by 31 May 2027. The most recent available is 2025–26.
What information do I need to provide?
Your name and address, National Insurance number, employer name and address, the tax year, and your total pay and tax for that year. Your HMRC personal tax account shows the pay and tax figures.
Is a P60 the same as a payslip?
No. A payslip covers a single pay period, and you receive one each payday. A P60 summarises your total pay and tax for a whole tax year and is issued once, after 5 April.
